Packing bag...soon on my way! :)

I can't wait for it to be tomorrow as I'm going to Madrid!!  I'm visiting my wonderful Swedish/Argentinian friend Cecilia who is now working at the Swedish Embassy in Madrid for a few months.

I first met Cecilia in Paris like 10 yeas ago when we both moved here. She left Paris a long time ago thought. We meet at the inscription day the Sorbonne University and started chatting, soon to realize we were both from Sweden. We also found out we were also neighbors (with only 1 street separating us) And since then we were inseparable. Cecilia has become kind of family to me and me and I think there is not much we don't know about each other. Seeing her is a little like coming home and as I don't have my family here, Cecilia will be perfect to still my homesickness a bit. :)

This weekend we are planning to do lots of great things and hopefully we'll manage to go and see a Flamenco Show.  I've always dreamed about learning this myself.

Just got back from the post office. And it was a BOOK! More precisely "Eat, pray, love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's supposed to be really good and was recommended by my great friend Mia. So I trust her on this. And as it say "EAT" I take it by words and bought myself some mini cup cakes to go with the book! :)

Now however, I could not keep my promise from earlier today and will actually run out again for a coffee on a terrasse! ;)

The sun is shining and I can't say how happy I am it's Friday. This weekend I'm planning to spend as much time as I possible can outside, trying to work on this extreme whiteness of my skin. I will take a break soon to go and pick up some package from the post office. Not even sure what it is as I can't keep track on everything I'm buying all the time haha. But I'm sure it's something fun! Hopefully I'll manage to come back to the office and continue the rest of the working day and not sneak away to some terrasse for a coffee again hihi....

I just got back from the dentist. I can't believe how cheap it is in France. Only 30 euros and then I get half back from Health Insurance. Is this cheap in Sweden?

I just realized I have very white teeth, even whiter then my eyes. However they are not very straight as you can see haha...

Yesterday after work my bf surprised me with taking me to see a musical, the Lion King. I've been wanting to see this show for ages. And actually had no idea they were still playing it. In order for me not to suspect what was going on he said we were just going to see an exhibition. But as we approached the theater I quickly realized where we're heading.

Needless to say the show was spectacular!!!

It feels like ages since I last wrote....and it is almost (last Friday). Since I didn't have any camera for the whole weekend it felt a little useless to write and not being able to post any photos.

It was a pretty calm weekend for me as I even thought it was holiday, I had a lot of work. But it's ok as I'm going to Madrid next week for 5 days so I'll have plenty of time to catch up on lost weekends.

As of speaking, I would really really appreciate any advice on things to do and see in Madrid as I've never ever been there, not even in Spain. So any advice please!! :) I'm expecting to shop a lot, eat a lot of tapas, drink a lot of wine and party as much as I possible can! :)

Last night we had dinner, in my opinion, at the best Italian restaurant in Paris. The place is called  L'Enoteca and you find it the Jewish neighborhood "St Paul" in Paris. I definitely recommend this place if you are in Paris. The place is a bit hidden and not a place you would stumble upon unless someone told you about it. So now I did! :)

I took the morning off today, as a very good friend of mine (Swedish) is in Paris. We had breakfast at Pain Quoitidien. A really great place for breakfast and even better for brunch (only weekends thought). As french people aren't really breakfast people and usually just have a quick coffee and a croissant, this place which is Belgian, is a great delight for us who loves breakfast. All the bread are organic and they make their own jam and chocolate spread. It's delicious.




After breakfast we went window shopping in "Marais". We also visited some of our favorite vintage stores and I bought this cute little dress. Not really sure what to do with it as it's very short, but I might just remake it as a blouse or a jumpsuit. We'll see what my creative fingers feels for.




Now back to work on high speed. No vacation in France today....
